Regulamentação do jogo: considerações e benefícios(Photo: Pexels) Gambling legislation in Brazil has provoked mixed reactions from the public, but the majority of Brazilians seem to support this measure.

The drafting of legislation that establishes rights and obligations for this sector is seen as a fundamental opportunity for the country's economic and social development, creating jobs, contributing to economic growth and helping to prevent problems related to excessive gambling tips.

What are the Main Benefits of Legalizing Gaming in Brazil? One of the main arguments in favor of regulating gambling is employment opportunities. Rules and regulations can open doors to job opportunities, from positions at casinos and gaming stores to jobs in support services such as security, maintenance, administrative services and customer support.

In this sense, in a survey of Brazilian gamers carried out by the agency ENV Media, 76% of respondents believe that the iGaming industry can boost the Brazilian economy and create job opportunities:

In addition to creating jobs, gambling laws can have a significant positive economic impact. If enacted, the government will be able to collect taxes that were not previously collected, increasing public revenue. These resources can be deployed in critical areas such as health, education and infrastructure. But according to the same ENV Media survey, a majority of 87% of respondents consider company registration, licensing and taxation important:

For this topic, federal regulators take an estimate of around R$10 billion annually, in addition to R$3 to 4 billion every five years in licensing fees. This represents about 100,000 US dollars. $2.2 billion in tax revenue annually

In countries where gambling is legal, the increase in tourism is also notable, as casinos and resorts attract national and international tourists, generating even more revenue for local economies.

Laws are also seen as the main means of preventing compulsive gambling. With clear rules and strong policies, effective player safety measures such as betting restrictions, opt-out programs and awareness campaigns can be implemented to address the dangers of excessive gambling.

Not only will this help reduce negative perceptions associated with the profession, but it will also help combat gambling addiction by providing support to those in need in a safe and reliable way.

Furthermore, by normalizing this market, the functions and services associated with online casinos, such as payments, deposits, withdrawals and even convenience games, will be available free of charge to the increased public, because they will see themselves protected by the law.

In this sense, data from 7JP, an online casino that recently carried out a survey on payment methods, shows that 74% of Brazilian players consider security to be the most important variable when choosing a method, speed (42%) was versus acceleration/ practicality (40%).

This shows how important it is to have legislation that covers all the issues raised by this sector, so that everyone involved can feel that they are in a safe environment.

It is a fact that regulating gambling in the country is a movement that can bring many economic and social benefits. By creating jobs, increasing public income and providing safety measures for players, the legalization of this industry can significantly contribute to the country's development and will be very beneficial for Brazilian citizens.
