The result of the collaboration will be a new slot machine inspired by one of the platform's most successful games: the exciting South Korean survival game known as “Round 6” or “Squid Game”.This brand-new content and brand licensing agreement marks Netflix’s entry into entirely new territory. The company responsible for creating the “Round 6” devices is the legendary Light & Wonder, known for its expertise in the gaming industry. The machines will transport players through a fascinating world of deadly challenges, reminiscent of the original game.
Expected to hit casinos in 2024, the “Round 6” slot promises an exciting experience, with prizes ranging from US$200,000 to US$400,000, depending on the classification. Light & Wonder devices are true technology, boasting a 75-inch vertically curved screen with 600,000 individual micro-LED pixels. In addition, they have a 27-inch touchscreen with induction cell phone charging and action buttons for game integration, providing players with an immersive experience.
Netflix has not only forayed into casinos, but also released a trailer for a reality show based on the hit South Korean drama. The reality show aims to reward the winner with a whopping US$4.56 million (equivalent to US$22.47 million) from a pool of 456 contestants.
