The long-awaited sequel to the acclaimed ``Gladiator'' (2000) will be released in 2024. Ridley Scott returns to direct with Gladiator 2, a historical blockbuster full of action and with an all-star cast. Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen and Denzel Washington are the big names in the cast. In the story, Maximus' son, Lucius (Mescal), becomes a gladiator after his hometown is invaded by Roman troops.
