Roger Guedes, who left Corinthians, was one of his country's top scorers this year.
One of the greatest scorers in Brazilian football will leave the country in 2023. Róger Guedes, Corinthians' goalkeeper in recent years, was sold to Al-Rayyan, from Qatar, and will not play for São Paulo this season. With 21 goals in 41 games, Guedes is enjoying the biggest scoring streak of his career. His own record in a single season, until then, had been achieved last year, at Corinthians, with a record of 15 goals in 66 games he played on the field. In 2023, only three Serie A players scored more goals than the former Corintiano: Germán Cano, from Fluminense, Pedro, from Flamengo, and Tiquinho Soares, current top scorer for Brazilian champions Botafogo.
