The number of new home sales grew 9.7% last year, according to the National Real Estate Indicators study for the fourth quarter of 2019, published this Monday (2) by the Brazilian Chamber of the Construction Industry (CBIC).

The annual result is the best in absolute terms since 2016, when the survey was carried out in partnership with the National Service for National Learning (Senai). An increase of 19.33% was also recorded in all sales in the municipalities surveyed in the region, in the comparison between 2018 (62,375) and 2019 (74,435).

The study took into account data from 90 Brazilian municipalities, 17 of which were the largest cities, such as São Paulo, Belém and Porto Alegre, and another 73 municipalities from ten metropolitan regions (MR) of capitals, such as Aparecida de Goiânia. metropolitan region of Goiânia, in Goiás, and Olinda, metropolitan region of Recife, in Pernambuco.

Minha Casa, Minha Vida With a sample of 25 locations across capitals and municipalities in metropolitan regions, the study also analyzed the participation of the Minha Casa, Minha Vida housing program in deliveries, acquisitions and stock of new homes.
