Entenda como isso acontece(Photo: Pavel Danilyuk – Paxel) Although betting and casinos are not legal in Brazil, it is possible to enjoy games in general over the internet, and the LeoVegas casino is already a legal option for playing online, with a lot of variety and options to keep you entertained. .

However, as the day progresses, the issue of legalizing gambling in Brazil takes on a new chapter, with many in favor of the issue and others not, against gambling in the country.

Meanwhile, online casinos are operating at full speed, all without breaking the law, as it has been possible to gamble online in Brazil since December 2018, thanks to a bill approved by then president Michel Temer.

However, it is important to highlight that when operating over the internet in Brazil, companies do not pay their fees and taxes to the country, thus preventing new fundraising.

Those that receive fees are places licensed to companies, even if the Brazilian player plays over the internet.

To change this, it is necessary to create laws that allow physical access to casinos. This is expected to happen in the near future, but the issue still generates diverse opinions.

In fact, the Chamber of Deputies approved a bill aimed at legalization, but the Senate responded by forming the Parliamentary Front for a Brazil without gambling by not approving gambling in the country.

Online gaming and betting create high prices Casinos are present practically everywhere in the world, whether physically or online.

The betting market is expected to grow 11.7% per year until 2030, with revenue reaching US$182 billion, according to Grand View Research, a company specializing in business consultancy.

A good example of how gaming creates high prices is China, the only place where casinos are legal. In April of this year, they had their worst performance in recent memory, but raised $335 million.

Poder 360 interviewed federal deputy Herculano Passos (MDB-SP), one of the defenders of legalization, on YouTube to get an idea of how Brazil can take advantage of this market. In the interview, he said that with the possible legalization of gaming, 650,000 new jobs and R$20 billion in annual revenue are expected for the country.

According to him, the idea is to follow the Las Vegas model, where gaming represents 30% of all revenue, also reflected in Macau.

How can legalization happen in Brazil? Based on the project approved by the Chamber of Deputies, we can have an idea of how this campaign could unfold in Brazil. Firstly, it is important to highlight that companies will be able to enter the country as casinos within resorts subject to certain regulations.

including limiting companies by the size of each state's population. So São Paulo will be able to have three units; Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais with two each; and one in other states and federal districts.

Each company must comply with regulations, such as restaurants, commercial stores, meeting places and luxurious rooms for accommodation. Fees and taxes are not yet known, but they will have to follow the companies' charging lines, with bettors paying taxes only after profits are defined.

So these are some things that are determined, but everything can still be adapted. New steps towards possible legalization should only take place in 2023, after a new management of the elected candidates.
