Brasileirão Feminino: São Paulo beats Palmeiras at home and climbs to the top of the table
São Paulo made a big leap in the women’s Brazilian championship table. This Saturday morning, at Allianz Parque, the tricolor beat Palmeiras 1-0 and won again after two consecutive defeats. The goal in this match was scored by Poliana against an own goal from Alviverde. Thiago Viana's team was under pressure from the home team throughout the 90 minutes. In the 36th minute of the first half, Sorriso, from Palmeiras, was sent off for a foul on Ariel, from São Paulo. The red card was overturned after the game was ruled offside. Moments later, Tricolor opened the scoring: goalkeeper Tapia F. Palermo's shot was saved, but the ball ricocheted off the Poliana defense and went into the back of the net.
