The creation of laws that establish rights and duties for this sector is considered a significant opportunity for the country's economic and social growth, enabling the creation of jobs, contributing to economic development and helping to prevent problems related to excessive gambling.

What are the main advantages of regulating gambling in Brazil? One of the main arguments in favor of regulating gambling is the potential creation of new jobs. Legalization and regulation could open the door to a variety of employment opportunities, from positions in casinos and betting shops to jobs in support sectors such as security, maintenance, administrative services and customer support.

In this sense, in a survey carried out by ENV Media with Brazilian gamers, 76% of respondents believe that the iGaming industry can improve Brazil's finances and offer job opportunities:

In addition to job creation, gambling regulation can have a significant positive economic impact. With legalization, the state can charge taxes that were not previously charged, thus increasing public revenue. These resources can be directed to essential areas such as health, education and infrastructure. However, according to the same survey carried out by ENV Media, the vast majority of 87% of respondents consider the registration, licensing and taxation of companies to be important:

On this subject, federal senators cite figures of around R$10 billion annually, with R$3 to 4 billion every five years for licensing fees. This represents approximately $2.2 billion in annual tax revenue

In countries where gambling is regulated, there is also a notable increase in tourism as casinos and resorts attract domestic and foreign visitors, generating even more revenue for the local economy.

Regulation is also seen as a key way to prevent compulsive gambling. With clear laws and strict regulations, it is possible to implement effective player protection measures, such as betting limits, self-exclusion programs and awareness campaigns about the risks of excessive gambling.

This would not only help reduce the negative perception associated with the industry, but would also help combat gambling addiction by offering support to those in need in a safe and reliable way.

Furthermore, by regulating this market, activities and services related to online casinos, such as deposits, deposits, withdrawals and even the simple act of betting, would become more trustworthy for the public, precisely because they would know that they are protected by the law. .

In this sense, data from 7JP, an online casino that recently carried out a survey on payment methods, shows that 74% of Brazilian players consider security to be the most important variable when choosing a method, followed by speed (42%) and comfort/convenience. (40%).

This shows how important it is to have legislation that covers all the issues raised by this sector, so that everyone who participates in it feels in a safe environment.

The fact is that regulating gambling in the country is a measure that can bring numerous economic and social benefits. In addition to creating jobs, increasing public revenue and protecting actors, the legalization of this sector can significantly contribute to the country's development, which has proven to be of great benefit to Brazilian citizens.
